Hi, I'm Emma
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn't part of the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and raised expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines formed. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built LinexSivenMorka
Most information online fell into either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Canada.
